Reactor Theory and Operations - Background Texts

Nuclear Power Fundamentals (Integrated Publishing) - simplified on-line overview

DOE Technical Standards (US Department of Energy) - over 50 textbooks that completely treat reactor theory and operations

Nuclear Reactor Theory (Tokyo Institute of Technology) - traditional college level text

An Introduction to Nuclear Reactor Theory, C.E. Iliffe (1984) - Theoretical introduction, lots of equations, Google published limited version

Nuclear energy: an introduction to the concepts, systems, and applications,

Raymond LeRoy Murray (2009) - Extensive treatment of nuclear energy, unfortunately this Google version is very limited in what is available. Full text should be worth the money.

Probabilistic safety assessment in the chemical and nuclear industries, R. R. Fullwood (2000) - Extensive treatment. Google version offers useful introduction to the field.

Nuclear engineering: theory and technology of commercial nuclear power, Ronald Allen Knief (1992) - Good introductory text, includes questions and exercises. Google version includes most pages of the text.

Nuclear Reactor Engineering: Reactor Systems Engineering, Volume 2  By Samuel Glasstone, Alexander Sesonske (1994) = 4th edition of a landmark text. Google version starts at page 501. Excellent treatment of reactor design.
